Zannoza Entertainment, Africa’s innovative games and entertainment company, has announced that the highly anticipated and action-packed inaugural season of the Corporate Gaming League (CGL) will kick off on Friday 03 September 2021 and run till Saturday 02 October  2021.

The Corporate Gaming League, which is also known by its acronym- CGL, is a games tournament in which corporate organizations (represented by their employees) and teams of corporate professionals battle it out for corporate cup titles, ultimate trophies and bragging rights.

This premiere edition of the tournament will incorporate a hybrid model that will give participating gamers the option of playing virtually or at one of the partner physical locations in Lagos: Slum2School Innovation Hub (Lekki), Game Evo Lounge Yaba and Nexpad Gaming Center (Ikeja).

The game lineup includes tournaments in FIFA 21, Call of Duty Mobile, Mortal Kombat 11, Trivia Quiz and Design Home,  promoting inclusion for avid and casual gamers.

Founder and Lead Project Manager of Zannoza Entertainment, Suzan Adinoyi, had this to say about the competition, “The establishment of the Corporate Gaming League is a testament to rise of esports and the video games in mainstream society. From the days when it was perceived as a distraction or the preoccupation of the jobless to now when some earn a living and others find it appealing as leisure players or spectators.

Another innovative element of this debut edition of the tournament is that Zannoza Entertainment has teamed up with Slum2School, a volunteer driven organization providing education to children living in slums and remote communities across Africa, to support their drive to grant 5000 out-of-school children with scholarships by committing to donate a portion of the registration fees. So, not only do participants play for titles, but they also get to give back to their community.

Registration has kicked off already, and it is open until 27 August 2021. The registration fee is N50,000 (Fifty Thousand Naira) per team per game. Companies can sign up multiple teams for games like FIFA, Call of Duty and Mortal Kombat while Design Home has maximum of 1 entry per company. Trivia Quiz, however, has 3 slots per company registration. Visit www.bit.ly/CorporateGamingLeague   or check @zannozaofficial on all social media channels for more information on registering.

The tournaments would take place weekly with the finals being streamed live on YouTube and Twitch at Zannoza Entertainment. Fans are not left out of the excitement as they stand a chance of winning amazing prizes.
