AFRICA ESPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP: OUTLOOK & 2020 CHAMPIONSHIP

The dream to connect Africa with the power of Esports was a shared passion and a call to all African countries of which about 30 countries responded with about 18 actively in participation.

The Community:

The friendship of private and National federation of Esports organizations makes AEC a unique brand of an African Initiative with direct benefits to the grassroots of youth engagements. The collaboration between countries still grows as we discover more countries by association and shared responsibility to develop Africa.

The Setback:

We had setbacks with funding, sponsorship and License issues, but that did not stop us to still advance our agenda because we knew the outcome… Our Grand final in Kenya did not come on as expected because of the above mentioned. We have learned our lesson, we have become more experienced and we have gain insights for the next phase of this Esports Project.

SHOUT OUT TO KENYA & OTHERS:

Kudos to TeamAEC Kenya who took the bull by the horn and worked out their part as Host Nation and also to all other countries who did their National Qualifiers. Congratulations… The dream still lives ON!

2020 is a defining year and we are poised to deliver our promise to the people of Africa. hashtagAEC2020
