Red Bull Kumite: South Africa Hosts Street Fighter 6 Invitational

Red Bull Kumite, the renowned fighting game tournament, is set to make its return in July, this time venturing into Africa with South Africa as the chosen destination.

Since its inception in 2015, this tournament has attracted top-tier players from various countries. In an exciting development, Red Bull has decided to bring the highly anticipated Kumite event to Pretoria, South Africa, where 16 of the world’s best players of the newly released Street Fighter 6 will compete head-to-head.

From July 1 to 2, the vibrant city of Pretoria will serve as the battleground for the most skilled Street Fighter 6 players from around the globe, including both amateurs and professionals. This gathering of fierce competitors will vie for the prestigious title of Red Bull Kumite 2023 champion.

On July 1, the first day of the event, fresh contenders will step up to the plate in the Last Chance Qualifier, setting the stage for an intense clash. Then, on July 2, the Main Event will commence, featuring 15 invited professionals and one qualifier from the LCQ. Within the confines of the tournament arena, these elite players will engage in thrilling battles, culminating in the crowning of the ultimate Red Bull Kumite champion.
