Itel, Mobiele Supports Lagos Esports Forum’s Team Nigeria’s Debut At The Global Esports Games In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Nigeria’s 9-man delegation has landed in Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Global Esports Games 2023 – The biggest Esports showpiece in the world enjoying the support of mobile technology company itel and Africa’s premier mobile gaming platform, MOBIELE.

 Itel is supporting the team as apparel sponsors and its logo will feature on the sleeves of the matchday jerseys which will be adorned by the athletes during all their games while on its part MOBIELE come on board as general apparel sponsors covering matchday jerseys and other training kits that will be worn by the entire delegation throughout their stay in Riyadh.

The Global Esports Games is the flagship Esports Championship of the Global Esports Federation (GEF) and it’s in its 4th year following successful editions in Singapore (2021) and Istanbul, Turkey (2022).

According to Team Manager and Technical Director of the Lagos Esports Forum (LESF), Ife Akintaju, the Nigerian Team is in high spirits following an intriguing qualifiers that saw 6 athletes qualify to participate in 2 titles (1 in Street Fighter 6 and 5 in PUBG mobile). He further stated that with Nigeria set to make her debut at the Global Esports Games, a remarkable progress has been made with the growth and development of Esports in Africa’s most populous nation.
