Pubg Mobile is one of the successful titles globally when talking about mobile gaming.

The Pubg brand has esports franchises such as the Pro League (PMPL) and Mobile Club Open (PMCO)

Both the PMPL and PMCO allows gamers irrespective of their region to connect and compete yearly.

Pubg Mobile just announced its 2022 Esports plans, as well as its overhaul of existing executions of the PMPL and PMCO.

One notable overhaul is the introduction of Africa as a region for the PMPL. Previously gamers in the region have had to be categorized with the middle east (MENA) & South Africa (SA).

Now regional qualifiers will be strictly African teams, which due to connectivity and other factors creates a level playing field.

African inclusion has always being a debate in global tournaments and Pubg giving Africa its own region is a bold statement and has been welcomed with excitement from the African Pubg community.
