When discussing esport communities in Africa, the list is incomplete without mentioning Pubg Mobile.
Pubg Mobile is the most played mobile game and unarguably on of the top games played after FIFA in Africa.
Due to the pandemic, the Pubg mobile community has enjoyed more tournaments with interesting prize pools.
In Nigeria, West Africa, LXG Esports hosted a PUBG Mobile Legends Extraordinary Club Open on November 28th 2020.
The event which was a Mobile LAN and first of its kind saw 8 teams who emerged from the qualifiers assemble and battle it out.
The event tagged LECO2020 enjoyed partnership from Alliance Francaise in Lagos, Tecno mobile, Redbull, just to mention a few.
Official streamer of the tournament was Mr xFlip, who has always supported the Pubg Mobile community in Africa.
After an intensive gun battle between the teams, LXG Gaming emerged winners with Outsiders and Rogue Gods coming second and third respectively.
Winners were awarded with trophies and medals, as well as cash prizes.
With LECO2020, being first of its kind, this has set a new bench mark for communities to build on as they continue to develop the esports space in Nigeria and Africa.
