Africa has won the e-ligue 1 tour championship, with Senegalese FIFA pro player, Dexx Jr, as the winner. The tournament is an esports event launched in 2021 and represents the international development strategy of the French Ligue 1 Uber Eats, which is one of the priorities of the LFP and its clubs. The competition was conducted using EA SPORTS FIFA, and the goal was to reach out to a maximum number of fans worldwide and increase the awareness of Ligue 1 Uber Eats in an innovative way that adapts to new consumption patterns.
In the 2023 edition of the tournament, gamers from various regions participated, including North America, the Middle East, Western & Central Africa, Latin America, and Morocco. The event was a combination of online and physical events, where winners from each location assembled in Paris, France, for the Grand Finale.
Senegal, Kenya, and Morocco were represented by gamers at the grand finale, with Dexx Jr from Senegal emerging as the champion after an intense competition between the finalists.
