With the growth of esports in Africa, more and more events are taking place to showcase Africa and her talents.
With the launch of FIFA23, many stakeholders are closing the curtains on FIFA 22 in different creative ways.
Africa is gearing up for the Sahel Esports Championship, a 5 nation FIFA22 tournament, involving countries like Senegal, Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali and Niger.
The five nations will have FIFA players in their countries compete in qualifiers in their various countries, and the winners will compete at the grand finale at the French Institute in Dakar, Senegal.
The qualifiers kick off today November 5th, 2022 and the finals will take place on November 23, 2022. The prize pool for the tournament is 1,250,000F CFA (approximately $2,000).
