Following months of discussion and strategic alignment, leading Esports Media and Experiential company and publishers of www.theafrogamer.com, The AfroGamer, and Africa’s sports media powerhouse, Afrosport TV have launched The AfroGamer Show.
The AfroGamer Show which is set to debut in August 2024 is a unique Africa-focused Esports content showcasing the best that the continent has got to offer from the world of Esports and Gaming that will be curated by the AfroGamer team and syndicated on the AfroSport TV platform.
The weekly Show will feature exciting segments like In The News (a deep analysis of the top news making the rounds), Spotlight (which will feature outstanding personalities in the African Esports space), Game On (a showcase of Places, Events, and other noteworthy executions in the African Esports space), Retro (which takes viewers down memory lane with highlights of old but gold video games) and lots more set to unfold in coming weeks.
A joint statement by the two organizations stated that “The AfroGamer Show is a long overdue concept that is needed by the Nigerian and African Esports ecosystem which has continued to grow over the last half-decade. The show is a unique blend of information and entertainment and it’s set to appeal to gamers, non-gamers, brands, and anyone interested in what is happening in that ecosystem”.
The AfroGamer Show will be hosted by dynamic TV and Event host, Sayo Owolabi who has over a decade and half years’ experience hosting award-winning radio and TV shows and is a leading figure in the African Esports ecosystem.
